I am very fond of this pattern as the “Dart” was the first pattern I ever developed. It is no secret that I love fishing the spring Shad run. Many of my friends were just tying the old tried and true Shad Darts to their tippet. While this is certainly OK, I wanted to design a “Fly” to take place the “Lure”. Tied on a TMC 5262 and available with colored tungsten cones the combinations are endless. The culmination of that process is the Dart. Double cones allow this fly to sink like a stone. Favorite colors include Gold / Red, Silver Chartreuse.
