Streamers
I do enjoy tying and fishing Streamer patterns, especially for Trout and Smallmouth. Recently I have been bitten by the articulated bug and will be adding more jointed patterns to this page in the coming months.
O'Neills Gunslinger
The Gunslinger is a great little articulated pattern. Quick to tie, light to cast and effective this little guy has proven invaluable since I designed him. Originally designed for Smallmouth, in the year since coming up with this pattern he has taken Smallmouth, Brown & Rainbow Trout , Steelhead, Pickerel, Largemouth, Striper, and Sea Trout. Using Great products from Fish Skull, Senyo and a Gama B10S hook you can feel confident throwing this guy into any situation. Favorite colors include Silver / Chartreuse and Black / Orange and Brown / Olive.
O'Neills Controlled Chaos
Why Controlled Chaos…because that is what this fly looks like in the water! You must throw this fly on a sink tip. The reversed Flymen Double Barrel popping head and the sink tip line work opposite each other to give this fly an action irresistible to predatory fish. Cast out; let the sink tip pull the fly down a bit and strip and pause. When you strip the fly will dive and when you pause the head tries to float the fly back to the surface. Tied on a #1 Gama B10S this guy packs a lot of punch in a little package. This fly has proven deadly on Pickerel! Favorite colors include White / Chartreuse and Black / Purple
The Sly Fox
The Sly Fox is great little articulated pattern. Arctic Fox is a great material to tie with and I have been trying to incorporate it into a streamer for some time when I came up with this little beauty. At about 3" long this is just a little bugger than the Gunslinger. The weighted Fish Skull head gives this little package action just lik the big boys. Favorite colors include Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, Baby Smallmouth and Shad
