On the Water Workshops

Of all of the things I am doing with O'Neills Fly Fishing this has me the most excited. Class room style seminars and Power Point presentations are great ways to pick up tips and techniques. Books are an excellent resource for knowledge as well. As great as these resources are, and I do believe they are great, they are both missing one very important aspect of learning. I, like most people, am a visual learner. I can look at a picture or read text over and over and think I have it only to realize I have forgotten, or didn't have a clear understanding of the technique in the first place. Imagine when you started to learn to fish under an indicator how much faster the curve would have been if you had "on the water training". When I can explain something, then demonstrate what the correct technique is (or the effects of an incorrect technique) your instruction will be both verbal as well as visual.
