O'Neill's Hare n Copper
I developed this pattern to mimic the larger burrowing nymphs we sometimes encounter. I really like the way the copper bead and wire contrast with the Hares Ear #1 dubbing. Trout Smallmouth and Steelhead have all fallen prey to this pattern. Tied on a TMC 5262 hook, angry Steelhead can gnaw on this guy forever! This Nymph encompasses the largest size range as I carry these in #18 thru #10. Rubber legs on the #10 and #12 version, dubbing legs on the rest. A lead wrapped underbody makes this a perfect anchor pattern in a multiple nymph rig.
